Section 39-7-14 Board of trustees of authority - Composition; appointment, removal and terms
of office of members; vacancies. (a) Each improvement authority shall have a board of trustees
consisting of not more than five members that are qualified electors residing in the area
serviced by the authority. (b) When the authority is composed of an incorporated city or town,
the trustees shall be appointed by the governing body of the city or town. When the authority
is composed in whole or in part of the inhabitants of an unincorporated area, the governing
body of the county in which the area is composed appoints the trustees. In the event the unincorporated
area is composed of parts of different counties, the Governor of the state shall appoint the
board. All vacancies on the board shall be filled by the proper authority designated in this

Section 41-29-331 Definitions. For the purposes of this division, the following terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) APPRENTICE. A worker who is at least 16 years of age, except
where a higher minimum age standard is otherwise fixed by law, who is employed to learn an
apprenticeable occupation as provided in 29 C.F.R. Part 29.4. (2) APPRENTICESHIP AGREEMENT.
A written agreement between an apprentice and either the apprenticeship program sponsor, or
an apprenticeship committee acting as agent for the apprenticeship program sponsor or sponsors,
which contains the terms and conditions of the employment and training of the apprentice in
conformance with 29 C.F.R., Subtitle A, Part 29 and Section 40-18-421. (3) APPRENTICESHIP

as the St. Stephens Historical Commission is hereby authorized to be appointed and established
for the purpose of acquiring, maintaining, protecting, and promoting certain properties of
historical interest at St. Stephens, in Washington County, in the general vicinity of the

Section 16-47A-8 Board of Trustees - Vacancies; appointments. (a) Any vacancy in the office
of trustee occurring during a recess of the Legislature shall be filled by appointment of
the Governor. The appointee shall hold office until the next session of the Legislature, at
