Section 11-99A-20 Exemption from taxation. (a) Each district, and the bonds and interest and income on the bonds of the district, shall be exempt from all taxation by the state or any other public person and all of its property, purchases, sales, and usage, and the recordation of its mortgages, indentures, deeds, or other instruments to which the district is a party or which reflect the securing of any bonds of the district shall be exempt from all taxation and recording fees. The income of a district shall be exempt from all taxation. (b) The purchase, acquisition, and installation of materials for improvements by a district shall be exempt from all sales and use taxes, gross receipts taxes in the nature of a sales or use tax, or taxes measured by the amount of the purchase, whether levied on the vendor, contractor, subcontractor, or the district. Section 27-6A-4 Contract requirements. No person, firm, association, or corporation acting in the capacity of a managing general agent shall place business with an insurer unless there is in force a written contract between the parties that sets forth the responsibilities of each party and where both parties share responsibility for a particular function, specifies the division of such responsibilities, and that contains the following minimum provisions: (a) The insurer may terminate the contract for cause upon written notice to the managing general agent.
