Section 23-7-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) BANK. The Alabama Transportation Infrastructure Bank. (2) BOARD. The board of directors of the bank. (3) BONDS. Includes bonds, notes, or other evidence of indebtedness except as otherwise provided in this chapter. (4) DEPARTMENT or DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. The Alabama Department of Transportation. (5) ELIGIBLE COST. As applied to a qualified project to be financed from the federal highway account, the costs that are permitted under applicable federal laws, requirements, procedures, and guidelines in regard to establishing, operating, and providing assistance from the bank. Section 11-50A-20 Trust agreement. In the discretion of the authority, any issue of bonds may be secured by a trust agreement or indenture made by the authority with a corporate trustee, which may be any trust company or bank within or without the state having the powers of a trust company. Section 11-50A-17 Contracts for use of projects; purchase of electric power; payment of charges; indemnity; enforcement of performance. (a) Any municipality, if authorized by resolution or ordinance of its governing body, may contract with the authority for the payment of any rates, tolls, fees, and other charges prescribed in this section and Section 11-50A-18 by the authority for the output, capacity, use or service by the municipality of any projects or other resources of the authority or any of its facilities or undertakings.
