Section 45-8A-20.01 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this part, and others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, shall, in the absence of clear implication herein otherwise, be given the following respective interpretations herein: (1) "Applicant" means a natural person who files a written application with the governing body of the city in accordance with the provisions of Section 45-8A-20.03. (2) "Authority" means the Anniston Downtown Development Authority, a public corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this part. Section 9-6-6 Board of directors. Each public corporation formed under this chapter shall be governed by a board of directors. All powers of the corporation shall be exercised by the board or pursuant to its authorization. The initial board shall consist of three directors appointed by the Governor from among the persons who filed the application to incorporate.
