Section 45-25-242.12 Disposition of proceeds. Proceeds from the gasoline excise tax shall be distributed and used as follows: (1) The first one hundred fifteen thousand dollars ($115,000) annually shall be transferred to the County General Road Department Fund, for use as defined in Sections 40-17-5, 40-17-76, 40-17-77, 40-17-78, 40-17-79, and 40-17-80, and, to further allow expenditures for purposes which may not specifically be defined, but to relate to the construction, rehabilitation, maintenance of the roads, equipment, or personnel to accomplish the same within DeKalb County. (2) The next ten thousand dollars ($10,000) shall be used for appropriation toward educating and training developmentally disabled adults in the county through contract or other appropriation to an agency or agencies providing the education and training. (a) The Legislature finds that the number of students attending the several school systems located in those areas of North Alabama that will be directly impacted by the 2005 BRAC and Subsequent BRAC Actions will collectively increase by an estimated 9,000 students. As a result, there will be a need for the construction of additional school facilities as well as the renovation of existing school facilities. The Legislature also finds that the 2005 BRAC and Subsequent BRAC Actions will have a positive impact on future receipts to the Education Trust Fund, as the significant population growth in North Alabama will increase sales, income, and other tax collections. Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. In order to insure continuity of administration, the nine board members provided for by Section 3 of Act 427, Regular Session 1975, shall continue to serve to the completion of the term for which they are serving.
