Section 40-25-70 Refund of tobacco taxes. (a) For the purpose of this article, the following
terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed by this section: (1) DEPARTMENT. The Alabama
Department of Revenue. (2) FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED INDIAN TRIBE. A tribe that is acknowledged
by the U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs as being an Indian Nation or
Tribe. (3) OTHER TOBACCO PRODUCTS. Smoking tobacco, cigars, stogies, cheroots, chewing tobacco,
snuff, and other products taxable under this chapter excluding cigarettes. (4) RESERVATION.
a. All land within the limits of any Indian reservation under the jurisdiction of the United
States Government, notwithstanding the issuance of any patent, and, including rights-of-way
running through the reservation; b. all dependent Indian communities within the borders of
the United States whether within the original or subsequently acquired territory thereof,

Section 45-21-242.01 Authorization. The county commission is authorized to levy and impose,
as specified under this part, upon every person, firm, or corporation who sells, stores, delivers,
uses, or otherwise consumes tobacco or certain tobacco products in Crenshaw County a county

of a resolution by the Dale County Commission, every person, firm, corporation, club, or association
that sells or stores or receives for the purpose in Dale County any cigarettes, cigars, snuff,

Section 11-51-180 Prerequisites for collection by Department of Revenue; exceptions; applicability.
(a) The Department of Revenue shall, upon request by ordinance or resolution of the governing
body of any municipality and the filing of a certified copy of the enabling ordinance or resolution
with the Department of Revenue, collect all municipal privilege or license taxes in the nature

Section 40-25-17 Sales by wholesale dealer. Every wholesale dealer in this state shall before
shipping, delivering or sending out any one or more articles taxed herein, to any dealer in
this state or for sale in this state, cause the same to have the requisite denominations and
amount of stamp, or stamps, to represent the tax affixed as stated herein and cause the same
to be cancelled by writing or stamping across the face thereof the number of such wholesale

from federal taxable income for purposes of computing taxable income under this chapter: (1)

of stamps. (a) It shall be unlawful for any dealer, storer, or distributor engaged in or continuing
