Section 40-17-359 Distribution and use of proceeds. (a) For the purpose of this section, the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed below: (1) BASE ANNUAL COUNTY DISTRIBUTION. Five hundred fifty thousand dollars ($550,000). (2) COST OF COLLECTION. The amounts from the proceeds of the highway gasoline tax that may be appropriated by the Legislature to the department for its operating expenses. (3) COUNTY. Each county in the state. Section 8-17-91 Disposition of funds; overpayments. Section 40-21-123 Dispositions of proceeds of tax. The tax herein levied shall be collected and administered in accordance with the procedure set forth in Section 40-21-85, and for those purposes the provisions of Section 40-21-85 are hereby incorporated into this section by reference. Section 9-13-84 Payment and disposition of taxes generally; Special State Forestry Fund; appropriation of tax receipts for use of State Forestry Commission.
