Section 33-19-1 Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin Compact. The State of Alabama hereby agrees to the following interstate compact known as the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin Compact: Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin Compact The States of Alabama, Florida and Georgia and the United States of America hereby agree to the following compact which shall become effective upon enactment of concurrent legislation by each respective state legislature and the Congress of the United States. Section 41-10-626 Bonds of the authority. (a) General. The authority is authorized from time to time to sell and issue its bonds in limited amounts and for the purpose of promoting economic development and industrial recruitment as specified by the Legislature from time to time by separate act, provided that refunding bonds may be issued by the authority pursuant to Section 41-10-627 without first obtaining separate authorization from the Legislature. Section 30-7-2 Minimum standards for domestic violence shelters. (a) The following minimum standards for domestic violence centers shall be used by the Department of Economic and Community Affairs to determine membership in the coalition or other qualified entity and eligibility for receiving funds administered by the Department of Economic and Community Affairs. Any domestic violence center seeking membership shall meet the following qualifications: (1) Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation created for the purpose of operating a domestic violence center; provided, however, it may be affiliated with a larger private organization, but must be a distinct entity with its own corporate structure and budget.
