Section 25-4-10 Employment. (a) Subject to other provisions of this chapter, "employment"
means: (1) Any service performed prior to January 1, 1978, which was employment as defined
in this section prior to such date and, subject to the other provisions of this section, services
performed for remuneration after December 31, 1977, including service in interstate commerce,
by: a. Any officer of a corporation; or b. Any individual who, under the usual common law
rules applicable in determining the employer-employee relationship, has the status of an employee;
or c. Any individual other than an individual who is an employee under paragraphs a. or b.

Section 16-24B-3 Principals - Probationary and contract principals. (a) Any other provision
of law to the contrary notwithstanding, persons employed as principals in the public schools
in Alabama on or after July 1, 2000, may, at the election of the employing board and upon
the recommendation of the chief executive officer, be employed as probationary principals
for up to one full contract year; provided, however, that if such person is being employed

Section 28-3-190 Levy of tax; collection; disposition of proceeds by localities; enforcement

Section 38-1-3 Legal representative for handling public assistance payments of incompetents.
If any otherwise qualified applicant for or recipient of public assistance appears to be incapable,
physically or mentally, or both, of managing his public assistance payments, and has no legal

Section 38-11A-2 Establishment of a welfare employment program; eligibility. (a) The Department
of Human Resources shall establish and administer a welfare employment program for persons

Section 37-15-4 Notice of intent to excavate or demolish. (a) A permit issued pursuant to law
authorizing excavation or demolition operations shall not be deemed to relieve a person from
the responsibility for complying with this chapter. Any public agency issuing such permit

As a condition of eligibility for aid, each recipient of aid to families with dependent children

of law any rights to support from any other person which such recipient may have in his own
