Section 45-49-151.17 Disposition of funds. (a) All fees, commissions, taxes, and other monies,
including fines and forfeitures, received under this subpart shall be paid to the racing commission
and shall be remitted by it to the county treasurer for deposit in the county treasury to
the account of the Mobile County Racing Commission as directed by the racing commission. All
monies remaining after payment of the expenses incurred in the administration of this subpart
including, but not limited to, the payment of the salaries and expenses of the members and
employees of the racing commission, and subject to any reserves for contingencies as the racing
commission shall direct, shall be distributed by the county treasurer monthly as follows:
(1) Until the capital improvement fund has accumulated four million two hundred thousand dollars
($4,200,000): Forty percent to the University of South Alabama for the use of the medical

Section 14-1-20 Hiring and retention of correctional officers. (a) The Alabama Department of
Corrections may establish a program designed to increase correctional officer hiring and retention
by offering bonuses or training incentives, or a combination of both, to employees in specified
correction officer classifications for remaining employed by the department for consecutive

Section 13A-11-72 Certain persons forbidden to possess pistol. (a) No person who has been convicted
in this state or elsewhere of committing or attempting to commit a crime of violence, misdemeanor
offense of domestic violence, violent offense as listed in Section 12-25-32(15), anyone who

Section 34-27C-4 License application; renewal; fee. (a) Commencing on May 21, 2009, any security
officer, armed security officer, or contract security company providing private security services
in this state shall apply to the board for a license or certification. Any security officer,

Section 16-25-21 Method of financing. Effective October 1, 1997, all the assets of the retirement
system shall be credited according to the purpose for which they are held among three funds,

Section 25-5-60 Compensation for death. In death cases, where the death results proximately
from the accident within three years, compensation payable to dependents shall be computed
on the following basis and shall be paid to the persons entitled thereto without administration,
or to a guardian or other person as the court may direct, for the use and benefit of the person
