Section 45-17-91.24 Public meetings; notices of meetings; public records. (a) The committee
shall be deemed a governmental body, as that term is defined in Section 36-25A-2. Meetings
of the committee shall be held and conducted in accordance with applicable provisions of the
Alabama Open Meetings Act, Chapter 25A of Title 36. (b) Notice of each meeting of the committee
shall be posted at the courthouse of each of the counties, not less than 24 hours prior to
the hour fixed for such meeting. In addition, notice of each such meeting shall be given to
each member of the committee, at such time or times prior thereto, and by such method or methods,
whether by United States mail, private delivery service, electronic mail, telephone, facsimile,
or other method reasonably likely to provide such notice, as the bylaws of the committee may

Section 29-2-274 Advisory subcommittees. The chair and vice chair of the committee shall jointly
create and appoint members to advisory subcommittees, as deemed necessary by the committee,
which shall include members of the committee and representatives from governmental agencies.
The Commissioner of the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, or his or her designee,
shall be a member of each advisory subcommittee created. Each advisory subcommittee shall
be co-chaired by one legislative member of the advisory committee and one governmental entity

Section 11-89C-8 Immunity of corporation, board members, and employees. (a) Any public corporation
shall be immune from civil suit for damages to the same extent as a department of state government.
(b) No board member, executive committee member, or individual employee, whether employed

Section 11-89C-4 Powers of public corporation; requirements for development or adoption of
rules, procedures, ordinances, etc. (a) When expressly required to comply with storm water
laws, any public corporation created pursuant to this chapter shall have the following powers:

a public body corporate and politic to be known as Alabama Higher Education Equipment Loan

and compensation of members; meetings. An admissions committee is hereby created in each county
in the state. The admissions committee in each county shall be appointed by majority vote
of an appointing board in each county consisting of the judge of probate of the county, two
