Section 45-6-241.20 Imposition of excise taxes; monthly report; failure to comply. (a) For the purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed by this subsection. (1) COUNTY. Bullock County. (2) COMMISSION. The Bullock County Commission. Gasoline, gasohol, naphtha, and other liquid motor fuels or any device or substitute therefor commonly used in internal combustion engines; provided, that such term shall not be held to apply to those products known commercially as "kerosene oil," "fuel oil" or "crude oil" when used for lighting, heating, or industrial purposes. Section 22-35-5 Fee; withdrawals; disposition of funds; liability for clean-up costs; audit. (a) Every owner of an underground or aboveground storage tank as defined in this chapter shall pay an Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee as established by the provisions of this chapter to be paid to the department. During the first year next following October 1, 1988, the amount of the annual Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100). Thereafter, the commission, upon recommendation of the management board, shall set such an amount not to exceed one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per year per regulated tank. (a) If a petition is filed under this chapter, the court may set a preliminary hearing as necessary, and shall cause to be issued all summonses and notices as required by law and otherwise deemed necessary and appropriate.
