Section 40-26B-60 Definitions. (a) For the purposes of this article the following words have
the following meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) DISPROPORTIONATE
SHARE HOSPITAL. A hospital meeting the requirements of Section 1923 of the Social Security
Act and other criteria adopted by the Alabama Medicaid Agency in its state plan for medical
assistance under Title XIX of the Social Security Act. (2) FISCAL YEAR. An accounting period
of 12 months beginning on the first day of the first month of the state fiscal year. (3) HOSPITAL.
A facility, which is licensed as a hospital under the laws of the State of Alabama, provides
24-hour nursing services, and is primarily engaged in providing, by or under the supervision
of doctors of medicine or osteopathy, inpatient services for the diagnosis, treatment, and
care or rehabilitation of persons who are sick, injured, or disabled. (4) PUBLICLY-OWNED HOSPITAL.

Section 11-50A-1 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words shall have the following

Section 27-54A-2 Treatment under certain policies and contracts. (a) As used in this section,
the following words have the following meanings: (1) APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS. The design,

Section 40-26B-70 Definitions. For purposes of this article, the following terms shall have
the following meanings: (1) ACCESS PAYMENT. A payment by the Medicaid program to an eligible
hospital for inpatient or outpatient hospital care, or both, provided to a Medicaid recipient.
(2) ALL PATIENT REFINED DIAGNOSIS-RELATED GROUP (APR-DRG). A statistical system of classifying
any non-Medicare inpatient stay into groups for the purposes of payment. (3) ALTERNATE CARE

Section 40-29A-3 Tax amnesty program. (a) The department shall develop and implement a tax
amnesty program in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. The commissioner may provide
by rule as necessary for the administration and implementation of the program. The commissioner
shall publicize the program in order to maximize the public awareness of and participation
in the program. The commissioner, for purpose of publicizing the program, may contract with
any advertising agency within or outside this state and use public service announcements,
pamphlets, mail notices, and print, television, and radio announcements. Such publications

Section 7-9A-523 Information from filing office; sale or license of records. (a) Acknowledgment
of filing written record. If a person that files a written record requests an acknowledgment
of the filing, the filing office shall send to the person an image of the record showing the
number assigned to the record pursuant to Section 7-9A-519(a)(1) and the date and time of
