Section 9-11-260 Acquisition of lands, expenditure of revenues, etc., by commissioner for propagation of game birds, game and fur-bearing animals. The Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources is hereby authorized on behalf of the State of Alabama to engage in the propagation of game birds, game and fur-bearing animals, and for this purpose the said Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources is authorized and empowered to secure by lease, gift or otherwise lands in the State of Alabama suitable for the propagation of birds or animals, the increase from which shall be planted under proper regulations of the Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources for brood stock for propagation purposes. All lands proposed to be leased under the provisions of this division shall be leased only upon the basis of competitive bids.
