Section 41-14-35 Security for deposits or accounts. Section 9-3-18 Public governmental entities, political subdivisions, etc., authorized to make donations to organizations deemed public in nature. (a) It is the intent of the Legislature that this section provides assistance to organized volunteer fire departments and organized search, air, and rescue squads including South Alabama Air Rescue, Incorporated, and other nonprofit organizations which provide search, air, or rescue services to the public. (a) Before construction is started on any project, the authority shall advertise for sealed bids once each week for three consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the county in which the project or undertaking, or some part thereof, is to be located; the authority may also advertise in such other publications as it may deem advisable.
