Section 34-9-26 Examination, qualifications, licensing, etc., of dental hygienists. No person
shall practice as a dental hygienist in this state until such person has passed an examination
given by the board or approved by the board, or both, under rules and regulations as the board
may promulgate and the payment of a fee. The board shall issue licenses and license certificates
as dental hygienists to those persons who have passed the examination and have been found
qualified by the board. The license certificate and annual registration certificate shall
be displayed in the office in which the dental hygienist is employed. No person shall be entitled
to a license and license certificate unless the person is 19 years of age and of good moral

Section 34-19-15 Licensure requirements; duration; grounds for suspension, revocation, etc.,
of license; recordkeeping. (a) An individual desiring to be licensed as a midwife shall apply
to the board on forms provided by the board. Applicants for licensure shall submit evidence
satisfactory to the board that he or she has met all of the following requirements: (1) Is
at least 21 years of age. (2) Is a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the

Section 34-24-301 Temporary licenses. (a) The board may, in its discretion, grant a temporary
license to an applicant who meets the qualifications for licensure as an assistant to physician
except that the applicant has not taken the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination
(PANCE) or the National Certifying Examination for Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCEAA) for
the first time or the applicant has taken the PANCE or the NCEAA for the first time and is

Section 34-24-524 Application and issuance of expedited licensure. (a) A physician seeking
licensure through the compact shall file an application for an expedited license with the
member board of the state selected by the physician as the state of principal license. (b)

Section 34-9-12 Recording, reporting requirements. (a) Every person granted a license to practice
dentistry or dental hygiene in this state by the board, as herein provided, shall cause his
