Section 40-23-2 Tax levied on gross receipts; certain sales exempt; disposition of funds. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases as used in this section shall have the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Revenue of the State. (b) As used in this section, state sales and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, 40-23-4, 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62, and 40-23-63. Section 36-21-51 Municipal chiefs of police or law enforcement officers to complete annual continuing education courses. (a) Each chief of police of any municipality in this state shall annually complete 20 hours of executive level continuing education courses approved by the commission. Any other law enforcement officer in this state shall annually complete 12 hours of continuing education courses approved by the commission.
