Section 34-24-362 Unlawful to practice when license suspended or revoked; reissue of license. Whenever a license to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of Alabama has been suspended or revoked, it shall be unlawful for the person whose license has been so suspended or revoked to practice his or her profession in this state, but the commission may issue in behalf of such person, either with or without reexamination, a new license whenever it deems such course safe and just. Prior to such decision to reissue a license, the commission shall request and consider but not be bound by the recommendation of the State Board of Medical Examiners.
