Section 34-24-300 Licensing of certified Physician Assistant or Surgeon Assistant. Notwithstanding any other provision of this article to the contrary, any person who was certified by the board as a physician assistant or surgeon assistant to a licensed physician on December 21, 1994, shall be eligible for the issuance of a license to practice as an assistant to physician in this state. To qualify for a license under this section, an applicant must submit an application for license and the required fee no later than one year after May 6, 1998.
