Section 32-6-31 Terms of compact. The Driver License Compact is hereby enacted into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein in the form substantially as follows: Driver License Compact Article I Findings and Declaration of Policy (a) The party states find that: (1) The safety of their streets and highways is materially affected by the degree of compliance with state and local ordinances relating to the operation of motor vehicles. (2) Violation of such a law or ordinance is evidence that the violator engages in conduct which is likely to endanger the safety of persons and property. (3) The continuance in force of a license to drive is predicated upon compliance with laws and ordinances relating to the operation of motor vehicles, in whichever jurisdiction the vehicle is operated. Section 16-1-24.3 Local boards of education to implement policies requiring expulsion of students who possess firearms in school areas. (a) All city and county boards of education shall develop and implement local policies and procedures requiring the expulsion of students, for a period of one year, who are determined to have brought to school or have in their possession a firearm in a school building, on school grounds, on school buses, or at other school-sponsored functions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, city and county boards of education and the local superintendent of education of each board may modify the expulsion requirement for a student on a case-by-case basis. Section 2-22-8 Licensing and labeling requirements for sale of soil conditioners and soil amendments. Every person who sells or offers for sale in or for importation into this state any soil conditioner or soil amendment for which label or labeling claims are made that such a product contains plant nutrients shall be subject to all of the requirements of this article for the sale of commercial fertilizer including the license and inspection fee requirement. If any label or labeling claims are made for the release of plant nutrients in the soil or of any bacterial action causing the release of plant nutrients in the soil in connection with the sale of any soil conditioner or soil amendment, a license authorizing the sale of the product shall be obtained from the commissioner.
