Section 40-18-423 (Credit expires after 2025 tax year unless extended.) Rulemaking authority; annual report. (a) The Alabama Office of Apprenticeship, under the direction of the Workforce Development Division of the Department of Commerce, with the consultation of the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Community College System or its designee, may adopt any rules necessary to establish standards for participation and eligibility and to implement and administer this article. The Alabama Office of Apprenticeship shall consult with the Department of Revenue to coordinate implementation and administration of this article. (b) The Alabama Office of Apprenticeship shall provide an annual report to the Chair of the House Ways and Means Education Committee and the Chair of the Senate Finance and Taxation Education Committee to account for the effectiveness of the apprenticeship program under this article. The Board of Dental Scholarship awards shall have power and authority to make reasonable rules and regulations not inconsistent with the laws of this state as may be necessary for the regulation of its proceedings and for the discharge of the duties imposed on it. (a) The State Board of Medical Examiners may, in its discretion and subject to rules and regulations promulgated by the board, issue a certificate of qualification without examination in behalf of full-time employed physicians teaching in any medical college in Alabama, approved by the Association of American Medical Colleges or the board. Section 34-29-75 Expiration and renewal of licenses; suspension for nonrenewal. All licenses shall expire annually on December 31 of each year but may be renewed by application to the board showing fulfillment of continuing education requirements and payment of a renewal fee established and published by the board. The continuation of practice after the expiration of a license shall be in violation of this article and be cause for suspension of the license. The executive director shall send a reminder of expiration 30 days prior to expiration by first class mail and issue a new display license to all persons registering under this article.
