Section 9-13-200 Authorized; form. The governor on behalf of this state is hereby authorized to execute a compact in substantially the following form with any one or more of the states of Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia, and the Legislature hereby signifies in advance its approval and ratification of such compact, which compact is as follows: SOUTHEASTERN INTERSTATE FOREST FIRE PROTECTION COMPACT Article I. The purpose of this compact is to promote effective prevention and control of forest fires in the Southeastern region of the United States by the development of integrated forest fire plans, by the maintenance of adequate forest fire fighting services by the member states, by providing for mutual aid in fighting forest fires among the compacting states of the region and with states which are party to other regional forest fire protection compacts or agreements, and for more adequate forest protection....

Section 34-27-68 Commission may seek injunctive relief, etc., for violation of article; investigation; revocation of registration. (a) If it appears that a person, firm, corporation, or any business entity has engaged, or is about to engage, in an act or practice constituting a violation of a provision of this article or rule or order of the commission, the commission, through the Attorney General, may institute legal actions to enjoin the act or practice and to enforce compliance with this article or any rule or order of the commission or to have a receiver or conservator appointed. (a) Except as otherwise provided in subsections (b) and (c), a court of this state shall recognize a foreign-country judgment to which this article applies. (a) A multistate license to practice registered or licensed practical nursing issued by a home state to a resident in that state shall be recognized by each party state as authorizing a nurse to practice as a registered nurse or as a licensed practical nurse, under a multistate licensure privilege, in each party state.
