Section 26-16-96 Local child death review teams. (a) There are hereby created local child death review teams. (b) Each county of the state shall be included in a local multidisciplinary, multiagency child death review team's jurisdiction. The district attorney shall initiate the establishment of local teams by convening a meeting of potential team members within 60 days of September 11, 1997. In the absence of the initiation of a child death review team by the district attorney within 60 days of September 11, 1997, the local public health representative will initiate the first team meeting. During this meeting, participants shall recommend whether to establish a team for that county alone or to establish a team with and for the counties within that judicial circuit. (c) The local team shall include, but not be limited to, all of the following members, the first five of whom are ex officio. Section 27-3A-5 Standards for utilization review agents. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), all utilization review agents shall meet the following minimum standards: (1) Notification of a determination by the utilization review agent shall be mailed or otherwise communicated to the provider of record or the enrollee or other appropriate individual within two business days of the receipt of the request for determination and the receipt of all information necessary to complete the review. (a) The expense of establishing and maintaining a district shall be paid for by the proceeds of a service charge which shall be levied and collected in an amount sufficient to pay the expense. Section 29-1-26 Legislative double dipping prohibited. (a) This section shall be known and may be cited as the Legislative Double Dipping Prohibition Act.
