Section 36-29-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) BOARD. The State Employees' Insurance Board. (2) CLASS. An employee or retiree shall be included in one of the following classes: (i) active employee single, (ii) active employee family, (iii) non-Medicare retiree single, (iv) non-Medicare retiree family, (v) Medicare retiree single, (vi) Medicare retiree family, (vii) non-Medicare retiree with Medicare eligible dependent(s), or (viii) Medicare retiree with non-Medicare dependent(s). (3) EMPLOYEE. A person who works full time for the State of Alabama or for a county health department and who receives his or her full compensation on a monthly basis through means of a state warrant drawn upon the State Treasury or by check drawn by the Treasurer of the Alabama State Port Authority or by check drawn by the treasurer of the Alabama state agency for surplus property...

Section 11-3-11.3 Collection of local taxes - Department of Revenue. (a) Counties may, upon request of the county commission, engage the Department of Revenue to collect and administer any county sales, use, rental, lodgings, tobacco, or other local taxes for which there is a corresponding state levy. Subject to subsections (d) and (e) below, the department shall collect and administer a county sales, use, rental, lodgings, tobacco, or other tax for which there is a corresponding state levy on behalf of the requesting county. Section 22-30D-5 Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund." The fund as so created shall be administered and used by the board as a drycleaning industry self-insurance program for the benefit of those persons electing to be covered by this chapter within the time(s) specified in accordance with the provision of this chapter and as a revolving fund for carrying out the purposes of this chapter. To the fund shall be credited all registration fees collected by the Department of Revenue, which monies shall be credited to the fund pursuant to this chapter and invested as permitted by law by the State Treasurer for the benefit of the fund. Section 41-10-514 Leasing to state agencies. (a) The authority is hereby authorized to enter into one or more leases of all or any part or portion of the facilities constructed, acquired, reconstructed, renovated or improved by the authority under the provisions of this article, to any agency of the state.
