Section 34-14C-6 Denial, suspension, or revocation of license; hearing; notice, penalties; appeal. (a) The board may deny, suspend, or revoke a license as provided in this section. (b) A license may not be denied, suspended, or revoked except by majority vote of the board and with prior notice and opportunity for hearing in accordance with this chapter and the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act. (c) The board may institute a hearing for denial, suspension, or revocation of a license or any person may file a written complaint with the board seeking the denial, suspension, or revocation of an application for licensure or license issued by the board or the investigation of any unlicensed person or entity providing home medical equipment services. The complaint shall be in a form prescribed by the board. Section 45-44-242.02 Levy of tax; exemption. (a) Notwithstanding any provision of law, there is levied in addition to any other taxes an additional excise tax on persons selling, distributing, storing, or withdrawing from storage gasoline and motor fuel in an amount not to exceed two cents ($0.02) per gallon and may require every distributor, retail dealer, or storer to pay the excise tax. Section 8-19C-2 Database of subscribers objecting to telephone solicitations. (a) No person or entity may make or cause to be made any telephone solicitation to the telephone line of any residential subscriber in this state who has given notice to the commission of his or her objection to receiving telephone solicitations. (b)(1) The commission shall establish and operate a database to compile a list of telephone numbers of residential subscribers who object to receiving telephone solicitations.
