Section 32-5A-92 Restrictions on use of controlled-access roadway. (a) The Department of Transportation by resolution or order entered in its minutes, and local authorities by ordinance, may regulate or prohibit the use of any controlled-access roadway (or highway) within their respective jurisdictions by any class or kind of traffic which is found to be incompatible with the normal and safe movement of traffic. (b) The Department of Transportation or the local authority adopting any such prohibition shall erect and maintain official traffic-control devices on the controlled-access highway on which such prohibitions are applicable and when in place no person shall disobey the restrictions stated on such devices. Section 32-1-1.1 Definitions. The following words and phrases when used in this title, for the purpose of this title, shall have meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, except when the context otherwise requires: (1) ALLEY. Section 32-5A-130 Required position and method of turning at intersections. The driver of a vehicle intending to turn shall do so as follows: (1) RIGHT TURNS. Both the approach for a right turn and a right turn shall be made as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway. (2) LEFT TURNS. Section 32-5A-173 When local authorities may and shall alter maximum limits.
