Section 32-8-87 Dismantling, destroying, changing identity of vehicle; certificate requirements; insurance claims; "total loss"; removal of identification numbers, plates, etc.; transfer of salvage vehicles; inspections; "component parts"; rebuilt vehicles; flood vehicles; online verifications. Section 40-12-290 Registration of vintage vehicle. (a) Subject to the requirements of subsections (b), (c), (d) and (e), the owner of a motor vehicle which is herein defined as a "vintage vehicle", upon application to the judge of probate or commissioner of licenses on special application forms prescribed by the Commissioner of Revenue and the payment of a registration fee of ten dollars ($10), may register the vehicle as a "vintage vehicle" and procure therefor permanent license plates to be issued and displayed on the vehicle. (a) Each person operating a refinery or terminal in Alabama shall prepare and provide to the driver of every highway vehicle receiving motor fuel at the facility a shipping document setting out on its face the destination state as represented to the terminal operator by the shipper or the shipper's agent. Any procedure adopted by the municipality for the abatement and removal of inoperable motor vehicles as public nuisances shall include, but is not limited to, the following: (1) A provision requiring notice to be sent by certified mail to the last registered owner of record, and notice to all other interested parties by securely affixing to the vehicle notice that a hearing may be requested and that if no hearing is requested, the inoperable motor vehicle will be removed.
