Section 8-20A-1 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the respective meanings as indicated: (1) CONSUMER. The purchaser, other than for purposes of resale, of a new or previously untitled motor vehicle used in substantial part for personal, family, or household purposes, and any other person entitled by the terms of such warranty to enforce the obligations of the warranty. (2) MOTOR VEHICLE. Every vehicle intended primarily for use and operation on the public highways which is self-propelled; provided, however, that the term "motor vehicle" shall not apply to motor homes or to any motor vehicle having a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,000 pounds or more. (3) MANUFACTURER. The person, firm, or corporation engaged in the business of manufacturing, importing and/or distributing motor vehicles to be made available to a motor vehicle dealer for retail sale. Section 11-70-2 Initiation and notice of action. (a) Class 2 municipalities may initiate an expedited quiet title and foreclosure action under this chapter against a parcel of tax sale property located within its municipal limits and purchased by the municipality. The municipality shall record, in the office of the judge of probate in the county in which the property is located, a notice of its intention to file an expedited quiet title and foreclosure action. The notice shall include a legal description of the property, street address of the property if available, a statement that the property is subject to expedited quiet title and foreclosure proceedings under this chapter, and a statement that those proceedings may extinguish any legal interests in the property. Section 32-13-2 Removal of motor vehicles; liability; lien on vehicles removed; notice. (a) A law enforcement officer or, in a Class 1 municipality, a parking enforcement officer or traffic enforcement officer who is not required to be certified by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission, may cause a motor vehicle to be removed to the nearest garage or other place of safety under any of the following circumstances: (1) The motor vehicle is left unattended on a public street, road, or highway or other property for a period of at least 48 hours. Section 40-12-396 License - Suspension or revocation; reasons for revocation or denial of license. (a) The commissioner may, subject to the appeal provisions allowed in Chapter 2A of this Title 40, suspend or revoke any license issued for the willful and intentional failure of the licensee to comply with the provisions of this article or for the willful failure to maintain the business premises, location, and sign as described in the application.
