Section 31-5A-11 Certification process. Any home in addition to the one located in Alexander City, Alabama, or any proposed new service or proposed change of service or any requirement then deemed applicable shall be subject to the certificate of need process, the Department of Public Health Division of Licensure and Certification and any and all review and approval processes, criteria, statutory, and administrative rules and regulations then applicable to any proposed privately-owned and/or operated nursing home facility or health care provider seeking to operate in Alabama. (1) To solicit, encourage, and guide the development of quality public charter school applications, every local school board, in its role as public charter school authorizer, shall issue and broadly publicize a request for proposals for public charter school applications by July 17, 2015, and by November 1 in each subsequent year.
