Section 12-15-204 Acts for which person who has attained age 16 shall be charged, arrested,
and tried as adult; removal of person from jurisdiction of juvenile court. (a) Notwithstanding
any other provision of law, any person who has attained the age of 16 years at the time of
the conduct charged and who is charged with the commission of any act or conduct, which if
committed by an adult would constitute any of the following, shall not be subject to the jurisdiction
of juvenile court but shall be charged, arrested, and tried as an adult: (1) A capital offense.
(2) A Class A felony. (3) A felony which has as an element thereof the use of a deadly weapon.
(4) A felony which has as an element thereof the causing of death or serious physical injury.
(5) A felony which has as an element thereof the use of a dangerous instrument against any

Section 26-15-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following
meanings: (1) CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE. A substance intended to be used as a precursor in the manufacture
of a controlled substance, or any other chemical intended to be used in the manufacture of
a controlled substance. Intent under this subdivision may be demonstrated by the substance's
use, quantity, manner of storage, or proximity to other precursors, or to manufacturing equipment.
(2) CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. Controlled substance as defined in subdivision (4) of Section 20-2-2.

Section 13A-11-245 Disposition of animal. (a) The law enforcement officer or agent of the county
or municipality may provide for the dog or cat until either the dog or cat is returned to
the owner by the court, or the court refuses to return the dog or cat to the owner and implements
one of the procedures pursuant to subsection (c). (b) If the owner is adjudged by the court,
with certification from a licensed veterinarian, to be able to provide adequately for and

Section 26-15-3.2 Chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled
substances are produced or distributed. (a) A responsible person commits the crime of chemical
endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which he or she does any of the following:

when he or she credibly, based on an objective evaluation, threatens to commit a crime of
