Section 33-18-1 Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa River Basin Compact. The State of Alabama hereby agrees to the following interstate compact known as the Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa River Basin Compact: Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa River Basin Compact The States of Alabama and Georgia and the United States of America hereby agree to the following compact which shall become effective upon enactment of concurrent legislation by each respective state legislature and the Congress of the United States. Short Title This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa River Basin Compact" and shall be referred to hereafter in this document as the "ACT Compact" or "compact." Section 22-50-11 Department - Additional and cumulative powers. The Department of Mental Health is given hereby the following additional and cumulative powers through its commissioner: (1) It is authorized and directed to set up state plans for the purpose of controlling and treating any and all forms of mental and emotional illness and any and all forms of mental retardation and shall divide the state into regions, districts, areas or zones, which need not be geographic areas, but shall be areas for the purpose of establishing priorities and programs and for organizational and administrative purposes in accordance with these state plans. Section 28-3-190 Levy of tax; collection; disposition of proceeds by localities; enforcement and administration; penalties; exclusive nature of tax. (a) Levy. In addition to the excise tax levied by Article 5A of Chapter 3 of this title and the licenses provided for by Chapter 3A of this title and by Section 28-3-194, and any acts amendatory thereof, supplementary thereto or substituted therefor, and municipal and county licenses, there is hereby levied a privilege or excise tax on every person licensed under the provisions of Chapter 3A who sells, stores, or receives for the purpose of distribution, to any person, firm, corporation, club, or association within the State of Alabama any beer. The tax levied hereby shall be measured by and graduated in accordance with the volume of sales by such person of beer, and shall be an amount equal to one and six hundred twenty-five thousands cents (1.625 cents) for each four fluid ounces or fractional part thereof.
