Section 28-3-242 Procedure for confiscation and sale of goods, etc.; nature of proceedings
against goods, etc.; court proceedings for collection of tax due and assessed. (a) In all
cases of seizure of any goods, wares, merchandise or other property made as being subject
to forfeiture under provisions of this chapter which, in the opinion of the officer or person
making the seizure, are of the appraised value of $50.00 or more, the said officer or person
shall proceed as follows. He shall cause a list containing a particular description of the
goods, wares, merchandise or other property seized to be prepared in duplicate and appraisement
thereof, to be made by three sworn appraisers to be selected by him, who shall be respectable
and disinterested citizens of the State of Alabama, residing within the county wherein the

Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter,
whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel
wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal
as provided in this section. A commission shall have no power to modify the terms of an operator's
license, once issued, without the prior written consent of the holder of such license. An
operator's license shall be reviewed annually, but such license shall be revocable by the
commission only if the holder thereof shall not be in compliance with the provisions of this

Section 45-48-242.02 Levy, collection, and distribution of certain taxes on alcoholic beverages.
(a) Notwithstanding any other laws, the taxes levied and collected on wholesale and retail
sales of liquor, beer, and table wine in the City of Guntersville shall also be levied and
collected at the same rates and in the same manner on wholesale and retail sales of the same
alcoholic beverages sold at wholesale or retail in any community development district in Marshall
County established under Chapter 8B of Title 35. (b) The proceeds of revenues collected in

Section 28-4-182 Permit from Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to have wine shipped from outside
the state - Required. When any such person desires to have shipped from outside of the state
wine for sacramental purposes in the usual religious exercises of his denomination, he may
apply to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board for a permit, stating the amount desired, during
what period and for what purpose; and said board, if satisfied of the good faith of the application,
shall grant a written permit to the applicant, permitting the shipment of such amount as is
shown to be reasonably necessary, to be stated in the permit, for the time stated for such

Section 28-3-5 Retail dealers to furnish duplicate invoices for shipments of alcoholic beverages
received from without state to board. Any retail dealer of alcoholic beverages enumerated
and defined in this chapter purchasing or receiving such commodities from without the state,
whether the same shall have been ordered or purchased through a wholesaler or jobber in this
state or by drop shipment or otherwise, shall, within 12 hours of receipt of such alcoholic

Section 28-3-6 Furnishing of statements of consignments and deliveries of alcoholic beverages
to board by common carriers, contract carriers, etc.; carriers, etc., to permit examination
of records by board. All common carriers, contract carriers, buses and trucks transporting
alcoholic beverages may be required under regulations to be prescribed by the board to transmit
to said board a periodic statement of such consignments or deliveries of alcoholic beverages,
showing date, point of origin, point of delivery, to whom delivered and time of delivery.
