Section 34-23-92 Powers and duties generally. The board shall exercise, subject to this chapter, the following powers and duties: (1) To adopt rules concerning the records and reports to be kept and made by a pharmacy relating to the filling of prescriptions and the handling and preservation of drugs. (2) To fix standards and requirements for licenses and permits except as otherwise specified in this chapter. (3) To make rules and regulations regarding sanitation consistent with state health regulations. (4) To employ such chemists, agents, clerical help, and attorneys necessary for the proper administration of the duties of the board. (5) To employ a Chief Drug Investigator and such other drug investigators that it deems necessary to enforce this chapter which are under the supervision of the board. Section 16-25-23 Exemptions from execution; recovery actions. Section 27-44-8 Powers and duties of association. (a) If a member insurer is an impaired insurer, the association may, in its discretion and subject to any conditions imposed by the association that do not impair the contractual obligations of the impaired insurer, and that are approved by the commissioner: (1) Guarantee or reinsure, or cause to be guaranteed, assumed, or reinsured, any or all of the covered policies of the impaired insurers. Section 22-30D-5 Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund." The fund as so created shall be administered and used by the board as a drycleaning industry self-insurance program for the benefit of those persons electing to be covered by this chapter within the time(s) specified in accordance with the provision of this chapter and as a revolving fund for carrying out the purposes of this chapter. To the fund shall be credited all registration fees collected by the Department of Revenue, which monies shall be credited to the fund pursuant to this chapter and invested as permitted by law by the State Treasurer for the benefit of the fund.
