Section 27-4A-3 Generally. (a) Subject to the exceptions and exemptions hereinafter set forth, for the year beginning on January 1, 1995, and for each year thereafter, every insurer shall pay to the commissioner a premium tax equal to the percentage, as set out in this subsection, of the premiums received by the insurer for business done in this state, whether the same was actually received by the insurer in this state or elsewhere: (1) PREMIUM TAX ON LIFE INSURANCE PREMIUMS. a. Section 8-32-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ADMINISTRATOR. The person designated by a provider to be responsible for the administration of service contracts or the service contracts plan or to make the filings required by this chapter. (2) COMMISSIONER. Section 27-42-8 Powers and duties. (a) The association shall: (1)a. Be obligated to pay covered claims existing prior to the order of liquidation arising within 30 days after the order of liquidation, or before the policy expiration date if less than 30 days after the order of liquidation, or before the insured replaces the policy or causes its cancellation, if he or she does so within 30 days of the order of liquidation. Section 16-65-6 Bonds generally. (a) Issuance of bonds. The authority is authorized and empowered to issue its bonds from time to time for the purpose of making equipment loans to finance equipment costs incurred or to be incurred by educational institutions. Section 27-15-78 Calculations of adjusted premiums by the nonforfeiture net level premium method. (a) This section shall apply to all policies issued on or after the operative date of this section as defined herein.
