Section 41-18-1 Text. Article I. Findings and Purposes. (a) The party states find that the
South has a sense of community based on common social, cultural and economic needs and fostered
by a regional tradition. There are vast potentialities for mutual improvement of each state
in the region by cooperative planning for the development, conservation and efficient utilization
of human and natural resources in a geographic area large enough to afford a high degree of
flexibility in identifying and taking maximum advantage of opportunities for healthy and beneficial
growth. The independence of each state and the special needs of subregions are recognized

Section 45-8-90 Economic Development Council - Creation; composition; powers and duties. (a)(1)
For the purposes of promoting industry and trade and economic development and to assist Calhoun
County and the municipalities located therein in their pursuits therefor and to provide for

Section 25-4-54 Contribution rates for employers subject to benefit charges; determination
of individual benefit charges. (a) Determination of contribution rates. (1) For the 12-month
period beginning on January 1 of each year which begins after December 31, 1996, any employer
whose experience rating account has been subject to benefit charges throughout at least the
fiscal year, as defined in Section 25-4-4, immediately preceding such January 1, shall have
his or her rate determined by the Unemployment Compensation Fund's liability for benefits

Section 16-6F-7 Applicant proposals; conversion to public charter school; terms of charters;
contracts. (a) Request for proposals. (1) To solicit, encourage, and guide the development
of quality public charter school applications, every local school board, in its role as public
charter school authorizer, shall issue and broadly publicize a request for proposals for public
charter school applications by July 17, 2015, and by November 1 in each subsequent year. The
content and dissemination of the request for proposals shall be consistent with the purposes
and requirements of this act. (2) Public charter school applicants may submit a proposal for
a particular public charter school to no more than one local school board at a time. (3) The

Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and
from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division
the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined
in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports

Section 8-20-4 Unfair and deceptive trade practices. Notwithstanding the terms, provisions,
or conditions of any dealer agreement or franchise or the terms or provisions of any waiver,
prior to the termination, cancellation, or nonrenewal of any dealer agreement or franchise,

Section 26-10D-4 Purposes. The purposes of this chapter are as follows: (1) To prohibit governmental
entities from discriminating or taking an adverse action against a child placing agency on
the basis that the agency declines to make a child placement that conflicts, or under circumstances
that conflict, with the sincerely held religious beliefs of the agency, provided the agency
is otherwise in compliance with Minimum Standards for Child Placing Agencies. (2) To protect
the exercise of religion of child placing agencies and to ensure that governmental entities
