Section 34-33-1 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed in this section: (1) CERTIFICATE HOLDER. An individual who is listed on the State Fire Marshal's permit as the responsible managing owner, partner, officer or employee who is actively in charge of the work of the certified fire protection sprinkler contractor. (2) CERTIFIED FIRE PROTECTION SPRINKLER CONTRACTOR. Any fire protection sprinkler contractor who has qualified and received a permit from the State Fire Marshal. (3) FIRE PROTECTION SPRINKLER CONTRACTOR I. An individual, partnership, corporation, association, or joint venture engaged in the business of layout, installation, repair, alteration, addition, maintenance, or inspection of all fire protection sprinkler systems. Section 41-9-85.1 Definitions. As used in this division, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) CONVICTED INDIVIDUAL. An individual convicted of a specified crime or a representative of the individual. (2) EARNED INCOME. Income derived from an individual's own labor or active participation in a business. The term does not include income from dividends or investments. (3) FUNDS OF A CONVICTED INDIVIDUAL. Funds and property received from any source by a convicted individual. The term includes funds that a superintendent, sheriff, municipal official, or other correctional official receives on behalf of a convicted individual and deposits into the individual's inmate or prisoner account to the credit of the individual. Section 30-5-5 Standing to file sworn petition for protection order; disclosure of information; costs and fees. (a) The following persons have standing to file a sworn petition for a protection order under this chapter as a plaintiff: (1) A person who is at least 18 years old or is otherwise emancipated and is the victim of abuse, as defined in Section 30-5-2, or has reasonable cause to believe he or she is in imminent danger of becoming the victim of any act of abuse.
