Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter, whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal as provided in this section. A commission shall have no power to modify the terms of an operator's license, once issued, without the prior written consent of the holder of such license. (a) Notwithstanding Sections 32-6-64, 32-6-67, and 32-6-68, upon the remittance of the ad valorem taxes and license taxes and registration fees as required in Division 4, Article 5 of Chapter 12 of Title 40, a fleet operator, as defined in Section 40-12-240, shall be issued a fleet license plate in the manner prescribed by the department. Section 34-14-9 Complaint and hearing; appeal; disciplinary actions. (a) Any person wishing to make a complaint against a licensee or apprentice under this chapter shall reduce the same to writing and file his or her complaint with the board within one year from the date of the action upon which the complaint is based.
