Section 24-8A-3 Documentation requirements. (a) A landlord who receives a request from a person to make an exception to a policy of the landlord that prohibits animals on the property of the landlord because the person requires the use of an assistance animal may require the person to produce reliable documentation of the following: (1) A disability, only if the disability is not readily apparent or known to the landlord. (2) A disability-related need for the animal, only if the disability-related need is not readily apparent or known to the landlord. Section 38-4-14 Limitations on use of public assistance benefits. (a) For the purposes of this section, the term public assistance benefits means money or property provided directly or indirectly to eligible persons through programs of the federal government, the state, or any political subdivision thereof, and administered by the Alabama Department of Human Resources. (b)(1) A recipient of public assistance benefits may not use any portion of the benefits for the purchase of any alcoholic beverage, tobacco product, or lottery ticket. Section 13A-12-340 Manufacture, sale, use, etc., of synthetic urine or urine additive. (a) As used in this section, the following terms have the following meanings: (1) DEFRAUD. A misrepresentation of a material fact made willfully to deceive or with reckless disregard as to its truth or falsity. (2) SYNTHETIC URINE.
