Section 11-49A-8 Powers of authority. The authority shall have the following powers, together
with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate form:
(1) To have succession by its corporate name for the duration of time (which may be perpetual,
subject to the provisions of Section 11-49A-20) specified in its certificate of incorporation;
(2) To sue and be sued in its own name in civil suits and actions and to defend suits against
it; (3) To adopt and make use of a corporate seal and to alter the same at pleasure; (4) To

Section 45-42-243.30 Financing construction of public buildings. (a) In order to provide funds
for financing the cost of public buildings, the Limestone County Commission is hereby authorized
by resolution to levy and provide for the assessment and collection of sales and use taxes,
which shall be in addition to any and all other county taxes heretofore or hereafter authorized
by law in such county. The sales or use tax levied pursuant to this section shall parallel,
except for the rate of tax, the sales and use taxes imposed by the state under Title 40. Any

Section 22-30F-8 Funding of a loan. (a) In order to provide for the funding of a loan by the
authority for a project to the public body, such public body shall, to the extent required
by the authority as a condition precedent to the making of a loan, establish a dedicated source
of revenue to repay the moneys received from the authority and to provide for operation, maintenance,
