Section 11-54-147 Use of proceeds from sale of bonds; cost of acquiring project. The proceeds
from the sale of any bonds issued under authority of this article shall be applied only for
the purpose for which the bonds were issued; provided, however, that any accrued interest
and premium received in any such sale shall be applied to the payment of the principal of
or the interest on the bonds sold; and provided, further, that if for any reason any portion

Section 11-57-16 Bonds - Disposition of proceeds from sale. (a) The proceeds derived from the
sale of any bonds sold by the authority, other than refunding bonds, shall be used only to
pay the cost of acquiring, constructing, improving, enlarging and equipping one or more projects
as may be provided in the proceedings in which the bonds are authorized to be issued. (b)

Section 23-1-301 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words and phrases shall
have the following respective meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1)
AUTHORITY. The Alabama Federal Aid Highway Finance Authority, a public corporation and instrumentality
of the state authorized to be organized under the provisions of this article. (2) BOARD OF

Section 23-1-331 Definitions. Where used in this article, the following words shall have the

Section 23-1-50.1 Road machinery and equipment management program; Equipment Management Surplus
Reserve Account. (a) It is the intent of the Legislature to give the State Department of Transportation

Section 23-2-158 Annual report to Legislature; contents; annual audit; expense. On or before
the tenth legislative day of each regular session of the Legislature, the authority shall
make a report of its activities for the preceding calendar year to the Legislature. Each report
shall set forth a complete operating and financial statement covering its operations during
the year and shall contain a complete report of the engineers of the authority as to the physical
