Section 9-18A-1 Enactment of Southern States Energy Compact. The Legislature hereby enacts, and the State of Alabama hereby enters into, the Southern States Energy Compact with any and all states legally joining therein in accordance with its terms, in the form substantially as follows: "SOUTHERN STATES ENERGY COMPACT "Article I. Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. In order to insure continuity of administration, the nine board members provided for by Section 3 of Act 427, Regular Session 1975, shall continue to serve to the completion of the term for which they are serving. Section 40-17-350 Transportation of motor fuel; inspections. (a) Each person operating a refinery or terminal in Alabama shall prepare and provide to the driver of every highway vehicle receiving motor fuel at the facility a shipping document setting out on its face the destination state as represented to the terminal operator by the shipper or the shipper's agent. Failure to comply with this subsection may result in a department imposed penalty of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), to be multiplied by the sum of the current violation plus prior violations of this subsection. (b) Every person transporting motor fuel in Alabama in a highway vehicle other than in its supply tank shall carry on board a shipping document issued by the facility where the motor fuel was obtained.
