Section 22-9A-5 Local registrars and deputy registrars of vital statistics. (a) In each registration
district, as defined in Section 22-9A-4 or as designated by the board, a local registrar and
deputy registrars shall be appointed by the State Registrar upon the recommendation of the
county health officer or his or her designee. All local registrars and deputy registrars shall
be employees of the county health department. The local registrars and deputy registrars shall
be subject to the control of the State Registrar when they are performing functions relating
to the system of vital statistics. (b) Any local registrar or deputy registrar of vital statistics
who fails or neglects to discharge efficiently the duties of his or her office, as set forth

Section 25-4-145 Penalties; limitation of actions; collection of overpayments; waiver of overpayments.
(a) Penalties. (1) Whoever willfully makes a false statement or representation or who willfully
fails to disclose a material fact to obtain or increase any benefit or payment under this
chapter, or under an unemployment insurance law of any other state or government, either for
himself or herself or for any other person, whether such benefit or payment is actually received
or not, shall be guilty of an offense as follows and each such false statement or representation

Section 27-40-3 Licenses - Required; fees; information to be furnished commissioner. (a) No
person shall engage in the business of financing insurance premiums in this state without
first having obtained a license as a premium finance company from the commissioner. Any person
who shall engage in the business of financing insurance premiums in this state without first
having obtained a license as provided herein shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000.00 or by imprisonment for not more than

Section 15-20A-45 Penalties. (a) A sex offender who is convicted of any offense specified in
this chapter, in addition to any imprisonment or fine, or both, and in addition to any other
fees, costs, and assessments, imposed for the commission of the underlying offense, shall

Section 27-29-10 Violations and penalties; criminal proceedings. (a) Any insurer failing, without
just cause, to file any registration statement as required in this chapter shall be required,
after notice and hearing, to pay a penalty of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) for each
day's delay, to be recovered by the commissioner and the penalty so recovered shall be paid
into the state General Fund. The maximum penalty under this section is fifty thousand dollars

Section 32-6-49.3 Definitions. Notwithstanding any other provision of this article, the following
definitions shall be applicable unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) ALCOHOL.

Section 45-37-42 Regulation of tattooing. (a) This section shall be operative only in Jefferson
County. (b) For the purposes of this section, the following words have the following meanings
unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) DEPARTMENT. The Jefferson County Board
of Health. (2) TATTOO or TATTOOING. The act of inserting a pigment under the skin of a human
being by pricking with a needle or otherwise, so as to produce an indelible mark or figure
visible through the skin. (c) No person shall apply a tattoo upon the body of another human
unless the person applying the tattoo shall hold a valid permit issued by the department.
(d) The department shall regulate persons who practice the art of tattooing and the facilities
