Section 22-13A-7 Advisory Panel on Osteoporosis. The Interagency Council on Osteoporosis shall
establish and coordinate an Advisory Panel on Osteoporosis which shall provide non-governmental
input regarding the Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment Education Program. The membership
of the panel shall include, but is not limited to, persons with osteoporosis, women's health
organizations, public health educators, osteoporosis experts, providers of osteoporosis health
care, persons knowledgeable in health promotion and education, and representatives of national

Section 22-21B-3 Definitions. The following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed
to them in this section, unless otherwise required by their respective context: (1) CONSCIENCE.
The religious, moral, or ethical principles held by a health care provider. (2) DISCRIMINATION.
Discrimination includes, but is not limited to: Hiring, termination, refusal of staff privileges,
refusal of board certification, demotion, loss of career specialty, reduction of wages or

Section 22-32-4 Authorization to operate site; users' charges; lease or contract for operation
and disposal of low-level radioactive wastes. (a) The Alabama Department of Energy is authorized
to operate a treatment, storage or disposal site for low-level radioactive wastes pursuant
to any license issued by the Radiation Control Agency. The Alabama Department of Energy is
authorized to charge each user of any licensed site within the state that user's proportionate
share of the costs for handling of the wastes. These costs shall be paid on the basis of a

Section 22-8A-9 Withholding or withdrawal of treatment, etc., not suicide; execution of advance
directive not to affect sale, etc., of life or health insurance nor be condition for receipt

Section 26-14-7.2 Child denied medical treatment due to parents' religious beliefs. (a) When
an investigation of child abuse or neglect by the Department of Human Resources determines
that a parent or legal guardian legitimately practicing his or her religious beliefs has not
provided specific medical treatment for a child, the parent or legal guardian shall not be
considered a negligent parent or guardian for that reason alone. This exception shall not
preclude a court from ordering that medical services be provided to the child when the child's
