Section 26-16-4 Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board - Composition; terms; officers and
committees; compensation. (a) The state board shall be composed of the following 14 members:
(1) The Commissioner of the State Department of Human Resources, the State Mental Health Officer,
the State Health Officer, the State Superintendent of Education, and the Secretary of the
Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency or designees authorized to speak on their behalf. (2)
Nine public members appointed by the Governor, one from each of the seven congressional districts
into which the state is divided for the purpose of electing representatives in the United

Section 22-20A-30 Definitions. For purposes of this article, the following terms shall have

Section 22-20A-2 Definitions. For purposes of this article, the following terms shall have
the following meanings: (1) BOARD. The State Board of Health as defined in Section 22-2-3.

Section 41-16-72 Procurement of professional services. Any other provision of law notwithstanding,
the procurement of professional services by any agency, department, board, bureau, commission,
authority, public corporation, or instrumentality of the State of Alabama shall be conducted

Section 22-4B-3 Loans for nursing degree - Eligibility - Contract - Cancellation of loan -
Recovery of unpaid balance. (a) Within the limits of the funds appropriated for or otherwise
available to the loan program, the board shall be authorized to grant to each applicant deemed
by the board to be qualified, a loan for the purposes of acquiring a nursing degree as defined

Section 22-30E-3 Definitions. Unless otherwise defined in this chapter, the definition of all
