Section 22-55-1 Enactment of compact; terms. The Interstate Compact on Mental Health is hereby enacted into law and entered into by this state with all other states legally joining therein in the form substantially as follows: INTERSTATE COMPACT ON MENTAL HEALTH The contracting states solemnly agree that: Article I The party states find that the proper and expeditious treatment of the mentally ill and mentally deficient can be facilitated by cooperative action to the benefit of the patients, their families and society as a whole. Further, the party states find the necessity of and desirability for furnishing such care and treatment bear no primary relation to the residence or citizenship of the patient but that, on the contrary, the controlling factors of community safety and humanitarianism require that facilities and services be made available for all who are in need of them. Section 34-21-126 Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (a) The party states hereby create and establish a joint public entity known as the Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (1) The commission is an instrumentality of the party states. Section 34-24-543 Binding effect of compact and other laws. (a) Nothing herein prevents the enforcement of any other law of a member state that is not inconsistent with the compact. (b) All laws in a member state in conflict with the compact are superseded to the extent of the conflict. Section 22-32-5 Radiation Safety Fund; licensing and inspection fees; bond of contractor-leasor; perpetual care fund; operating fund; compact commission fund; royalty fees; appropriation. (a) There is hereby created a Radiation Safety Fund into which the State Treasurer shall deposit the licensing, application, and inspection fee of the Radiation Control Agency. The Radiation Control Agency is authorized to collect for deposit into the Radiation Safety Fund application, licensing and inspection fees equal to 75 percent of those fees charged by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for issuing similar licenses.
