Section 22-27-3 Authority of local governing bodies as waste collections and disposal; household exemptions; state regulatory program. (a) Generally. (1) The county commission or municipal governing body may, and is hereby authorized to, make available to the general public collection and disposal facilities for solid wastes in a manner acceptable to the department. The county commission or municipal governing body may provide such collection or disposal services by contract with private or other controlling agencies and may include house-to-house service or the placement of regularly serviced and controlled bulk refuse receptacles within reasonable (generally less than eight miles) distance from the farthest affected household and the wastes managed in a manner acceptable to the department. Section 37-13-11 Bonds of authority - Generally. Each authority shall have the power and is hereby authorized at any time and from time to time to issue and sell its revenue bonds for any of its corporate purposes. The principal of and the interest on all such bonds shall be payable solely from, and may be secured by a pledge of, the revenues derived by the authority from the operation, leasing or sale of any or all of its railroad properties and facilities, and other property. Section 41-10-63 Authority and procedure for pledge of revenues of authority and creation of statutory lien upon facilities and properties thereof for payment of principal and interest on bonds; remedies upon default in payment of principal or interest on bonds.
