Section 22-21-170 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, unless otherwise indicated, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) CORPORATION. A corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this article. (2) COUNTY. Any county in this state. (3) MEMBER. The county that is a member of a corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this article and each municipality that is at the time a member of such corporation. (4) SECURITIES. Notes, bonds, certificates of indebtedness, warrants or other evidences of indebtedness. (5) HOSPITAL. Such term includes the plural as well as the singular and means any one or more of buildings or facilities which serve to promote the public health, either by providing places or facilities for the diagnosis, treatment, cure or convalescence of sick, injured, mentally ill or disturbed persons, or for the prevention of sickness and disease, or for the care, treatment and rehabilitation of...
