Section 22-21-318 Powers of authority. (a) In addition to all other powers granted elsewhere
in this article, and subject to the express provisions of its certificate of incorporation,
an authority shall have the following powers, together with all powers incidental thereto
or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate form: (1) To have succession by its corporate
name for the duration of time, which may be in perpetuity, specified in its certificate of
incorporation or until dissolved as provided in Section 22-21-339; (2) To sue and be sued
in its own name in civil suits and actions, and to defend suits and actions against it, including
suits and actions ex delicto and ex contractu, subject, however, to the provisions of Chapter

Section 22-12-11 Violation of regulations as to arriving vessels. Any person who violates the

Section 11-50-290 Contracts between municipalities and waterworks board for operation and management
of sanitary sewer systems. (a) The city or town council, city commission, or other governing
body of any incorporated municipality in the State of Alabama in which a waterworks board
organized pursuant to Sections 11-50-230 through 11-50-237, 11-50-240 and 11-50-241 may be
operating is hereby authorized, in behalf of such municipality, to enter into contracts with
such board, and such board is authorized to enter into contracts with such municipality, whereunder
such board shall act as agent of such municipality for the operation and management of any

Section 22-20-4 Location and extension of cemeteries. Whenever it is proposed to locate a cemetery
or to extend the boundaries of an existing cemetery, the party or parties so proposing shall
make written application to the judge of probate and county commission or to the mayor and
