Section 34-11-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the respective meanings ascribed by this section: (1) BOARD. The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, provided for by Section 34-11-30. (2) DESIGN COORDINATION. The review and coordination of technical submissions prepared by persons other than the principal engineer, including, as appropriate and without limitations, consulting engineers, architects, landscape architects, land surveyors, and other professionals working under the direction of the engineer. (3) DISCIPLINARY ACTION. Any final written decision, order, consent agreement, public reprimand, or other formal action taken against an individual or firm by the board based upon a violation of this chapter or a board rule. Section 11-3-11 Powers and duties generally. Section 22-18-42 Regulation of certain types of care and personnel; purchase of drugs and fluids. This chapter shall govern and it shall authorize the Board of Health to regulate only emergency medical care provided outside of hospitals, EMSP who provide care outside of hospitals, provider services ground ambulances, air ambulances, ALS nontransport services, the training of EMSP who provide care outside of hospitals, and orders given for emergency medical care to be provided outside of hospitals. The purpose and use of funds generated by this article are to enable all participating eligible volunteer fire departments in Coffee County to be better equipped and prepared for emergencies in the county and to assist in maintaining and lowering Insurance Services Organization ratings. Section 34-9-63 Permit to use parenteral sedation. The issuance of a permit for general anesthesia shall include the privilege of administering parenteral sedation in accordance with this section. The issuance of a permit for parenteral sedation shall include the privilege of administering intravenous sedation. All current intravenous sedation permit holders are entitled to a parenteral sedation permit subject to the renewal and regulatory provisions afforded to the Board of Dental Examiners by this chapter.
