Section 45-36-243 Definitions. For the purposes of this part, the following terms shall have
the respective meaning ascribed by this section: (1) COUNTY. Jackson County. (2) DISTRIBUTOR.
Any person who engages in the selling of gasoline or motor fuel, as herein defined, in Jackson
County by wholesale domestic trade, but shall not apply to any transaction of such distributor
in interstate commerce. (3) GASOLINE. Gasoline, naphtha, and other liquid motor fuels or any
device or substitute therefor commonly used in internal combustion engines; provided, that
such term shall not be held to apply to those products known commercially as kerosene oil,
fuel oil, or crude oil when used for lighting, heating, or industrial purposes. (4) MOTOR
FUEL. Diesel oil, tractor fuel, gas oil, distillate, kerosene, jet fuel, or any substitutes
or devices therefor when sold, distributed, stored, or withdrawn from storage in any county

Section 45-37-40.04 License - Application; hearings; appeals; fees. (a) Every applicant for
a barbers license, apprentice barbers license, barber teacher license, scalp specialist license,
or a license to operate a barber shop or barbers college, or other like business, shall apply
therefor in writing on blanks prepared or furnished by the barbers commission. It shall be
accompanied by the recommendation of at least two barbers doing business in the county, not
related to the applicant, certifying that the applicant is of good reputation, is qualified
to practice the profession of barbering, and recommending that a license be granted. The application

bodily fluids if he or she knowingly causes or attempts to cause another person to come into
contact with a bodily fluid unless the other person consented to the contact or the contact

Section 17-3-30.1 Disqualification of electors for felonies involving moral turpitude. (a)
This section shall be known and may be cited as the Felony Voter Disqualification Act. (b)(1)
The Legislature finds and declares that: a. Article VIII of the Constitution of Alabama of
1901, now appearing as Section 177 of Article VIII of the Official Recompilation of the Constitution
of Alabama of 1901, as amended, provides that Alabama citizens shall lose the right to vote
when convicted of a crime only if the conviction was for a felony involving moral turpitude.
b. Under general law, there is no comprehensive list of felonies that involve moral turpitude
which disqualify a person from exercising his or her right to vote. Neither individuals with
felony convictions nor election officials have a comprehensive, authoritative source for determining
